We’re pretty much doomed – five green things we’ve learnt this week

Occasionally, environmental news coverage throws up reports so depressing it makes you wonder why you get out of bed in a morning. This week provided one of those occasions in the form of a major new report from the OECD detailing quite how bad environmental crises will get by 2050 if we continue along business-as-usual paths. The litany of impacts on climate, water supplies, resources and air quality reads like the stuff of post-apocalyptic novels, and it could all come to pass by the middle of the century.
